This December, Pompano Beach is set to host an exciting weekend of beach volleyball action and festivities! From December 5-8, the Pompano Beach Volleyball Festival will bring together some of the best emerging and seasoned players from across the globe, alongside local and international fans, for an unforgettable weekend of spikes, sun, and fun at the Pompano Beach Pier.

The highlight of the weekend will be the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour (BPT) Futures event, a FIVB-sanctioned competition showcasing top beach volleyball talents from the United States and beyond. Athletes will compete for points, prize money, and prestige, with the qualifying rounds taking place on December 5, followed by the main draw from December 6-8.

Not only will the event feature high-caliber volleyball matches, but it's also free to the public, so everyone is invited to watch and cheer for their favorite teams from the beach!

As part of the festival, there will be even more volleyball action, including the Pan American Zone Beach ParaVolley event and the USAV Beach National Qualifier for junior athletes (ages 10U-18U). These competitions, happening on December 7-8, will add to the energy and excitement of the weekend. The Beach ParaVolley tournament will feature both able-bodied and disabled athletes in this adaptive version of the sport, while junior athletes in the National Qualifier will compete for a bid to the USAV Beach National Championship in July 2025.

Steve Bishop, executive director and president of the Florida Region of USA Volleyball, expressed excitement about hosting this premier event:

We’re proud to host the only FIVB/Volleyball World beach competition in the U.S., as well as the only WPV Beach ParaVolley training and competition, in partnership with USA Volleyball, and we can’t wait to welcome the world to our beautiful state."
