Jugo Boss Lighthouse Point | Cold-Pressed Juice, Smoothies & Bowls

In a city where health fads come and go, one local juice bar in Lighthouse Point has built a loyal following by sticking to the basics: honesty, quality, and community. Jugo Boss, tucked away in Lighthouse Point, is more than just a juice bar, it’s the story of resilience, transformation, and a deep commitment to health.

Before I we deep dive into who Jugo Boss is and how/where they started I'd like to tell you about my personal experience. I was in the mood for a healthy drink in the area I was running my errands; whole foods, UPS etc. There were a few options really close to each other but knowing me, I wanted to support the smaller more family owned type business and it did not disappoint.

I really like the aesthetic and cleanliness. Also the big slogan on the wall: "Health is the new Health" I couldn't agree anymore with. I like so many foods that the first time trying out something new I can be indecisive but the associate there was very patient with me and knowledgeable. The heavy metal detox caught my eye but when I asked the associate about it she asked if I had anywhere to be in the next hour because I may have to run to the bathroom which I really appreciated because I still had errands to do. Silly me for not putting two and two together about needing to let the detox do it's work.

I ordered the Sunshine.. hands down one of the best smoothies I’ve had. It was so good I came back a couple of days later, and when the associate suggested adding chocolate chips, my mind was blown at first sip.

That little twist is something I’ll be telling friends about. Now, enough of my story, here is theirs:

Business Origins

The journey of Jugo Boss began with a personal challenge. Over a decade ago, the owner Mariana Uribe, underwent bariatric surgery and quickly realized that the greasy, fried foods served at most events weren’t an option anymore. Instead of settling, they created a solution: fresh, cold-pressed juices.

Starting as a juice truck, Jugo Boss served nighttime events across South Florida before pivoting to daytime spots like farmers markets, sporting events, and gated communities. When COVID canceled events overnight, the business adapted by offering juice cleanses, a move that not only kept them afloat but helped them connect with a whole new audience.

Their current brick-and-mortar location in Lighthouse Point came through a stroke of luck: a plaza owner discovered their Instagram, believed in the mission, and offered them a reduced rent to set up shop.

Business Philosophy

At the heart of Jugo Boss is a simple but powerful philosophy: keep it real.

No pasteurization. Juices are never heated, so every sip delivers live nutrients straight to your bloodstream.

No additives. If it’s not fresh, it’s not served. That means no powders, no preservatives, no shortcuts.

Transparency. Customers know exactly what’s in their drink and what isn’t.

This commitment means sometimes you won’t find certain flavors, like passion fruit, if the only available option is a processed version. “We’d rather not sell it than compromise on quality,” the owner explains.

Products and Preparation

Walking into Jugo Boss, you’ll find more than just juice. Every item is made with the same careful attention to detail:

  • Fresh-pressed juices made in-house daily

  • Smoothies blended with frozen fruit (never watered down with ice) and house-made almond milk

  • Bowls with açaí, passion fruit, and other bases, customizable with toppings

  • Lemonades sweetened with agave for vegan-friendly options

  • Shipped juices frozen to preserve nutrients instead of using chemical preservatives

The result? Healthy juices, smoothies and bowls in Lighthouse Point that are as vibrant and nutrient-rich as they look.

Community and Growth

Jugo Boss has now been a staple in Lighthouse Point for nearly two years. Step inside, and you’ll notice something special: staff greeting regulars by name, knowing their go-to orders, and treating everyone like part of the family.

While growth is on the horizon, the owner is taking a measured approach. Instead of chasing rapid expansion, they’re focused on ensuring every juice, smoothie, and bowl meets the highest standards.
